报告摘要：介绍阿联酋起源人工智能研究院及研究进展，以及世界第一所人工智能大学的情况。
报告人简介：Ling Shao目前是阿联酋起源人工智能研究院（Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence, IIAI）的CEO和首席科学家。他在英国牛津大学获得博士学位，师从Michael Brady教授，先后在英国谢菲尔德大学、诺森比亚大学和东安格利亚大学任教，他的研究领域涉及计算机视觉、深度学习/机器学习，医学图像以及图像/视频处理。 Ling Shao担任了IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics等国际期刊的副编，担任BMVC 2018执行主席。Ling Shao也是英国计算机学会的会士、IET fellow、IEEE高级会员、以及ACM学会的终身会员。
